Terms & Conditions
By booking or receiving services from Lux Precision Detailing, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
1. Pricing & Service Approval
All service prices, add-ons, and potential up-charges will be discussed and agreed upon before any work begins.
Up-charges may apply depending on the condition of the vehicle. These may include, but are not limited to:
-
Excessive dirt, mud, sand, or debris
-
Heavy staining or neglected interiors
-
Pet hair (including minimal amounts, as removal requires additional time and specialized tools)
-
Bodily fluids such as vomit, blood, or other biohazardous materials
-
Hazardous or unsanitary conditions requiring additional safety precautions
All additional charges will be clearly communicated and must be approved by the customer prior to the start of service. Failing to provide information about the condition of your car can result in a fee if you decide to cancel the already booked detail as a result of an up-charge discovered once the technician gets there.
2. Deposits
A deposit of 25% of the total detailing service cost may be required for first-time customers to secure an appointment. Deposits are applied toward the final balance.
Ceramic coating, vehicle wrap, and window tint services may require a deposit between 25%–50% to secure an appointment.
Failure to provide notice of cancellation (see Section 6) may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
3. Removal of Personal Belongings
All personal belongings and valuables must be removed from the vehicle prior to the start of service.
-
Lux Precision Detailing does not handle, remove, or organize personal items.
-
If personal items remain inside the vehicle at the time of the appointment, service will not begin until the vehicle is cleared.
-
We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is ready for detailing upon arrival.
4. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage
Customers must disclose any known pre-existing damage prior to service.
Lux Precision Detailing is not responsible for:
-
Pre-existing scratches, dents, stains, tears, or mechanical issues
-
Damage resulting from previously weakened, worn, or improperly repaired surfaces
-
Normal wear and tear revealed during the cleaning process
We reserve the right to refuse service if a vehicle is deemed unsafe or presents hazardous conditions.
5. Satisfaction & Payment
Payment is due only after the service has been completed and the customer has had the opportunity to inspect the vehicle.
By submitting payment, the customer confirms that:
-
The service has been completed to their satisfaction
-
They have fully inspected the vehicle
-
They approved the final results
All payments are final and subject to our Refund Policy.
Any unpaid balance remaining 24 hours after service completion may be charged to the payment method used for the deposit authorization.
NOTE: Customers are required to be on site for payment when we are finished with the services requested. Customer is given a time frame of how long their services requested will take during the first walk through. It is the responsibility of the customer to be present on site to look over our work and provide payment before we step off site. If the customer chooses not to be present for the final walk through despite being provided a completion time window, they waive their right to inspection, and the final balance will be automatically charged to the card on file upon completion.
6. Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances may change. We ask that customers provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule.
-
Cancellations made with adequate notice will allow deposits to be transferred to a rescheduled appointment.
-
Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the deposit. If no deposit was collected, Lux Precision Detailing reserves the right to charge a $60 cancellation fee for late cancellations or no-shows. Unpaid balances may be subject to additional collection costs or legal action where permitted by law.
-
If Lux Precision Detailing must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (including unsafe weather conditions), the customer may choose to reschedule at the next available appointment time or receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
7. Mobile Service & Weather Policy
As a mobile detailing service, we operate in varying weather conditions.
-
Exterior detailing services may still be performed during rain. We utilize a professional canopy system that allows us to complete exterior services in controlled sections, including washing, drying, and wax application.
-
Customers acknowledge that once the vehicle is removed from underneath the canopy, it may be exposed to rain. This does not affect the quality of the cleaning or wax protection provided.
-
No discounts or refunds will be issued due to rain during service.
-
We recommend customers be present at the beginning of the appointment for the initial vehicle walk through and service approval process. If a customer cannot be there at the start then the tech will call during the walk through. Before work begins, both parties will confirm the requested services and total agreed-upon price.
For safety reasons:
-
In the event of lightning, services will be paused and may resume 30 minutes after the last lightning strike, unless the customer provides a safe, fully enclosed garage suitable for work.
-
If severe or unsafe weather prevents completion of the service, the appointment may be rescheduled at the earliest available time at no additional cost. Any deposit collected will be transferred to the new appointment or refunded upon request.
8. Photo & Video Usage
Lux Precision Detailing reserves the right to take photographs and video recordings of vehicles before, during, and after services for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes.
To protect customer privacy:
-
License plates will not be displayed.
-
No personal information or identifying details will be shared.
All media content remains the property of Lux Precision Detailing.
9. Right to Refuse Service
Lux Precision Detailing reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary, or inconsistent with agreed-upon terms.
10. Agreement
By booking an appointment or accepting services, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
11. Paint Correction Services
Paint correction is a process that removes imperfections such as swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and surface defects through machine polishing. This process removes a microscopic layer of the vehicle’s clear coat in order to level imperfections.
Customer Disclosure Requirement
Prior to any paint correction service, the customer must disclose:
-
Whether the vehicle has previously undergone paint correction
-
Approximately how many times correction has been performed
-
The approximate date of the most recent correction
Clear coat thickness is limited. Because paint correction involves measurable removal of clear coat material, there is only a finite amount that can safely be corrected over the lifetime of a vehicle. Failure to disclose prior correction history may limit achievable results or impact service eligibility.
Lux Precision Detailing reserves the right to measure paint thickness and to decline or modify services if clear coat levels are deemed unsafe for further correction.
Results Disclaimer
While we take pride in performing high-quality, multi-step paint corrections that remove the overwhelming majority of swirl marks and surface scratches, 100% scratch removal is not a reasonable or guaranteed expectation.
Certain defects may be:
-
Too deep within the clear coat
-
Through the clear coat into the base coat
-
Previously repaired or repainted
-
Unsafe to remove without risking paint failure
Our goal is significant visual improvement while maintaining the long-term integrity of your vehicle’s paint.
By approving paint correction services, the customer acknowledges:
-
That measurable clear coat removal is required
-
That complete defect elimination is not guaranteed
-
That results vary based on paint condition, history, and manufacturer thickness
12. Vehicle Wrap Services
Vehicle wrapping involves the installation of vinyl film over painted surfaces for cosmetic or protective purposes. While we use professional installation techniques and quality materials, several factors influence the longevity and performance of a vehicle wrap.
Longevity Disclaimer
Lux Precision Detailing cannot guarantee how long a vehicle wrap will last. The lifespan of a wrap depends on multiple variables, including but not limited to:
-
The specific brand and type of vinyl selected
-
Manufacturer quality and material specifications
-
Amount of sun exposure and UV intensity
-
Climate and environmental conditions
-
Frequency of washing and maintenance practices
-
Storage conditions (garage-kept vs. outdoor exposure)
-
Driving habits and general wear
Because these factors are outside of our control, no specific lifespan is guaranteed.
Maintenance Responsibility
Proper maintenance is the responsibility of the vehicle owner. Failure to follow recommended care guidelines may reduce the lifespan of the wrap and void any applicable workmanship warranty.
Customers will be provided with general care recommendations upon completion of service.
Surface Condition & Adhesion
We are not responsible for:
-
Wrap failure due to pre-existing paint damage, failing clear coat, repainted panels, or aftermarket bodywork
-
Peeling caused by rust, corrosion, body filler, or previously damaged surfaces
-
Adhesion issues related to manufacturer paint defects
If underlying paint fails or lifts during removal, Lux Precision Detailing is not liable for repainting or repairs.
Limited Workmanship Warranty
Lux Precision Detailing offers a limited one-year workmanship warranty on select panels, covering installation-related defects only.
This warranty:
-
Applies solely to installation workmanship, not material failure from the manufacturer
-
Does not cover damage from accidents, misuse, neglect, improper washing, environmental exposure, or vandalism
-
Covers reinstallation of specific panels only if deemed necessary
All warranty claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are approved solely at the discretion of the business owner.
Acknowledgment
By approving wrap services, the customer acknowledges:
-
That wrap longevity cannot be guaranteed
-
That environmental and maintenance factors affect durability
-
That warranty decisions remain at the discretion of Lux Precision Detailing
13. Window Tinting Services
Window tint installation is a precision process that enhances privacy, appearance, and heat rejection. While we use professional techniques and quality film, certain conditions and variables are outside of our control.
Curing Period
After installation, window tint requires time to properly cure.
-
Small water bubbles, haziness, or distortion may be visible immediately after installation.
-
This is normal and typically resolves within several days to a few weeks depending on weather conditions and sun exposure.
-
Customers must not roll down tinted windows for at least 3–5 days after installation (or as otherwise instructed).
Failure to follow curing instructions may void any applicable workmanship warranty.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Lux Precision Detailing is not responsible for:
-
Pre-existing scratches, chips, cracks, or weak glass
-
Defroster line damage
-
Failing seals or aging rubber trim
-
Electronics embedded in glass
-
Contamination or imperfections already present in factory glass
Older vehicles may have brittle trim or previously tinted windows that increase risk during removal or installation. We are not liable for damage related to aged or deteriorated materials.
Tint Removal Disclaimer
If old tint must be removed:
-
There is a risk of damaging rear defroster lines or embedded antennas.
-
Lux Precision Detailing is not responsible for defroster malfunction following tint removal.
Customers acknowledge these risks prior to service.
Legal Compliance
Customers are responsible for ensuring the selected tint percentage complies with local and state laws.
Lux Precision Detailing is not responsible for:
-
Tickets, citations, inspection failures, or legal penalties
-
Required removal due to non-compliant tint selection
If a customer chooses a tint level that is darker than legal limits, they do so at their own discretion and responsibility.
Limited Workmanship Warranty
We offer a limited workmanship warranty covering installation-related defects such as:
-
Peeling
-
Bubbling (outside of normal curing)
-
Adhesion failure
This warranty does not cover:
-
Physical damage
-
Scratches caused after installation
-
Damage from improper cleaning
-
Accidents or vandalism
All warranty claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are approved solely at the discretion of the business owner.
Acknowledgment
By approving window tint services, the customer acknowledges:
-
The required curing period and care instructions
-
The risks associated with tint removal
-
Their responsibility for legal compliance
-
That warranty determinations remain at the discretion of Lux Precision Detailing
14. Ceramic Coating Services
Lux Precision Detailing LLC is a certified installation center for System X Ceramic Protection ceramic coatings. Ceramic coatings are designed to provide long-term paint protection, gloss enhancement, and hydrophobic properties. While coatings offer significant protection benefits, proper maintenance is essential to maximize performance and maintain warranty eligibility.
Manufacturer Warranty
Select System X ceramic coatings include a manufacturer-backed warranty provided directly through System X.
Customers acknowledge and understand that:
-
All coating warranties are issued and administered solely by System X, not by Lux Precision Detailing LLC.
-
Lux Precision Detailing LLC is not responsible for warranty approval, denial, duration, or claim decisions made by System X.
-
Eligible ceramic coating and glass coating installations may be registered to the customer’s vehicle history through CarFax.
To activate applicable warranty coverage:
-
Customers are responsible for registering their warranty through the official System X warranty registration website.
-
Lux Precision Detailing LLC will provide customers with clear instructions regarding the registration process after installation.
Failure to properly register the warranty may result in loss of manufacturer warranty coverage.
Maintenance Requirements
Proper maintenance is required to preserve coating performance and maintain eligibility for any applicable manufacturer warranty.
Customers will be provided with:
-
Recommended washing and maintenance procedures
-
Proper cleaning guidelines
-
Aftercare instructions for maintaining the coating
Failure to follow proper maintenance procedures, including the use of improper washing methods or chemicals, may void the manufacturer warranty.
Ceramic coatings are not scratch-proof, chip-proof, or maintenance-free. Improper care, automatic car washes, environmental contamination, neglect, or physical damage may reduce coating performance and longevity.
Annual Coating Inspections
To maintain eligibility for applicable System X manufacturer warranties, customers are required to complete periodic inspection requirements within the timeframe established by System X.
Lux Precision Detailing LLC provides complimentary annual coating inspections for coatings installed by our company.
Customers acknowledge:
-
The annual inspection is a visual evaluation only.
-
No detailing, decontamination, correction, or maintenance service is included with the inspection.
-
Additional maintenance recommendations or protection-boosting services may be suggested during the inspection and quoted separately.
-
Customers are responsible for scheduling and bringing the vehicle to Lux Precision Detailing LLC for inspection within the manufacturer-required timeframe.
Failure to complete required inspections within the required time window may void the manufacturer warranty through System X.
Results & Longevity Disclaimer
Ceramic coating longevity and performance depend on several factors, including:
-
Environmental exposure
-
Driving habits
-
Storage conditions
-
Washing frequency and technique
-
Maintenance practices
Because these factors are outside of our control, Lux Precision Detailing LLC cannot guarantee a specific lifespan or level of performance beyond the manufacturer’s stated warranty terms.
By approving ceramic coating services, the customer acknowledges:
-
That ceramic coatings require ongoing maintenance
-
That warranty compliance is the customer’s responsibility
-
That improper maintenance may void warranty coverage
-
That Lux Precision Detailing LLC is not the warranty provider for System X products
15. Limitation of Liability
Lux Precision Detailing shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services performed, including but not limited to loss of vehicle use, personal inconvenience, or pre-existing vehicle conditions. Liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided. Lux Precision Detailing is not liable for electrical malfunctions of aftermarket electronics, or factory components exposed to standard, industry-accepted moisture levels during window tint or wrap installation.
